Long time No posting, so here is a more recent one.

Hello There,
I would like to know how people are and have been doing since I last posted on this blog. Not much has happened for me since I got out of school ( April 20th ). Though there are two special events that my family will be celebrating this year, my sister and many of the Youth I know are graduating from highschool this year ( Thursday afternoon ), and many of the people that I have met through college are graduating with me on Friday night. I am so excited because in two days time I will get to see my Dad, who is coming to visit and watch both the Graduation ceremonies this year. So I gues that you could call the day-off tomorrow "the Eye of the Storm" even though it's before everything happening.
I hope that a great time will be had by everyone grading this year,
Lindsay

Again, Sorry for the long pause in Updating on this blog

Hello There,
Sorry for the long pause in between up-dates on here, but I just never get enough time to do so.
Anyway, Some recent things that have been happening are that college for me and my friends finished on April 20th. I managed to pass the Work Experience Evaluation, which pretty much meant that I passed that part of the program. That's ok, because I recently found out from the instructor that I had passed the whole program. I have my report card for Level Two now, as well as Level One, and I get a certificate for the completion and passing of both levels in June at the college graduation ceremonies. I don't think that I have anything more important to share, so I'll leave it for now. Though, my vacation from my life away from school is going well, and I will be returning to the Island tomorrow night, on the 7pm ferry.

Sorry for the long pause in up-dates. HAPPY EASTER

Hello There,
I guess I should have put "next Saturday" because I wasn't able to get onto my blogs to up-date them until today. Anyway, as many know things haven't been going too well for me over the past couple of weeks. I've successfully terminated my contract with the bakery because of the stuff that's been going on in "life away from school" as I like to call it. Actually, things got worse on the Sunday after the Leader Development day. Yes, Things got a lot worse, and now I'm on medication to keep me calm, and to help me sleep. I just remembered that my work report is coming, no date has been set yet; The student is supposed to go in to see how they did, but I hate when people tell me where I've done well, and where I need to work on, so I'm going to think of some excuse to avoid going that meeting.
Well, That's all for now,
Happy Easter,
Lindsay

Up-Date

Hey There,
As many know, things, aren't going to good for me right now. My STUPIDITY last Sunday landed me on campus for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and today. Well, after finding out what happened a few months ago, and what happened on Sunday, my instructor, David, asked me on Monday afternoon if I would like to stay on campus for the three days that I was supposed to be at work experience. I told him that I would, mainly because I know that I am not safe as using the equipment is concerned, at least, not right now. I did have a good time being on campus, I got the chance to go up to the greenhouse and help up there with the watering of the plants on Tuesday, and next Wednesday David invited me to come help them put on a plant show at Lansdowne campus. As for my contract with the bakery, well, by the looks of things, I'd think that it would be the safest thing for me to terminate ( ask to finish ) it. I don't know.
That's about all,
Untill next Friday,

Problems while on work experience

Hello There,
Things aren't going to well for me while I've been on work experience over the past few weeks. Since I get to the bakery about an hour earlier than the resident dishwasher, well, I've been having problems with her. Things got worse today when I eventually revealed to my school instructor while having a private meeting what had been going on at the bakery right under the boss's nose. Thee dishwasher, it seems, just loves to give me crap for things that other people have done that she doesn't like. I mean to say that I'd like to see her try taking care of the dishes and be going to go get the ice at the same time. That's why I'm glad that someone takes over organizing the dishes while I clean the salad bar and go get the ice for it. Then the dishwasher can't tell me that I need to take care of the dishes and go get the ice at the same time. Even if it means drying all of the dishes when the ice job is done, and that's usually what I get stuck doing, then so be it. That's one less thing that I get crap for. This problem will hopefully be solved by Monday, when I talk to my work experience organizer about things.

As few people know, I managed to strain a tendon in my right elbow. Well, I want to say "Thank you" to those who have prayed, and are still praying for it. I also wanted to say that I no longer need to wear a bandage, except when workingh with the dough press ( which I'm hoping doesn't happen to soon ).

Random Up-Date

Hello There,
Well, Things haven't really changed. I have my work experience person Jacquie, telling me to get my blood tested for some sickness. Which is really funny because Candy (my boss's wife) is telling me that I need to go to the doctor to see what's up with my elbow. I do admit that going on the dough press on Tuesday was a bad idea on my part.
On other notes, my body temperature went up yesterday, causing me get myself sent home from work with an hour and 1/2 left of my shift. It also caused me to completely miss my extra-curricular activity ( Josh and Werner's SpyCell) last night, sorry. The good thing is that I am feeling better today, and was able to be at the bakery for my whole shift. My mum told me to take a couple of asperin before I left for work this morning. I just hope that this doesn't happen again, 'cause I have school from nine to noon tomorrow, so I have to get up at six to go catch the seven am bus to Downtown. Well, At least I'll be home by 2:30pm, tomorrow afternoon. I know that this is random, but Amie, we really need to introduce you to Ted (a.k.a. Ninja).
Another post will come soon,

Bakery Experiences

Hey There,
This time around I'd just like to post about some of the experiences that I've had at Lunn's bakery (where I do work experience), so far. Well, I guess I should start with actually meeting the people that I work with, that's always cool, and was this time. I learned where everything's place is from the resident dishwasher, and some of the others who are there when I am. Now to start with some of the jobs that people ask me to do. The first jobs of the morning are cleaning (only on Tuesdays, as it is the first day the bakery is open after the weekend) the salad bar, and going to get the ice for it and the cold water tap. Turnig on the dishwasher and taking care of those dishes that have piled up from before I get there, doing tables (collecting dishes, and wiping the tables {usually I only get to do this twice a day, 'cause by the time I get back, the other dishwasher is there}). After the other dishwasher arrives, I get to do other jobs like prep work (peeling or cutting vegetables to be used at other times), labeling sandwhiches, dough stamping, in which I wasn't completely used to the motion of the machine that does this, so after continious use, this machine caused me to strain tendons in my right elbow, Ouch!!!! My elbow is now healing, through rather slowly, but still. Well, That's all the jobs I can think of, and that's just about as many experiences as I can think of, for now. As for school, more on that in the next post. Oh, one more thing, as many people know, this work experience is only supposed to go for six weeks, but we have the option of asking to have our Contracts extended for another six weeks, if we like where we are. I bring this contract thing up, because this week will be my nineth week work at the bakery, and my third extended week (starting tomorrow {Tuesday}). I had so much fun during my first six weeks, that I asked to have my contract extended, and I'm not the only person in my class who did so. Just to add one thing to the last post, college reminds me a lot of high school, the behaviour on some days is no different from high school. Wow, fifteen posts between my two blogs, "Lindsay's Thoughts" and this one, "Lindsay's College Life", Cool, and make that two things (though, that last sentence should be on my other blog, but I guess it can be on both).
Anyway, Another post is to appear soon,

First Post on New blog

Hello There,
Things have been going good at college. I have had some great experiences that sometimes remind me of high school. I thought only elementary, middle and high school kids dress up to be in the spirit of Halloween. I was proved wrong when my instructors, David and Nancy told us that Halloween was hugely celebrated here at Camosun, as well. College life is cool. More experiences to come. This blog will be about college experiences only, my other blog "Lindsay's Thoughts" contains what happens in my personal life, away from school, and the bakery.
